C2i operates six separate service locations to provide the best support possible. Each service facility coordinates through the Atlanta-based project coordinator to maintain an accurate schedule and to streamline the dispatch of service personnel. Each service center is provided with a company truck stocked with equipment.

C2i maintains a staff of fully qualified engineers to provide multiple levels of training, both on-site and at C2i. Typical training programs include maintenance training, operator training, as well as computer/software training.

Control Instruments has complete in-house training facilities. Classroom and hands-on instruction can be provided, and all sessions can be video taped.

.

On-Site training begins during start-up. A Control Instruments field service technician will demonstrate programming and calibration procedures on each instrument as it is commissioned. After classroom training, additional hands-on instruction will be provided to help clarify operations and maintenance procedures.

Detailed classroom training will be provided in the following areas:

  1. Overall system design and theory of operation.
  2. Detailed operating procedures, covering both normal
    and alarm conditions.
  3. Maintenance procedures, including suggested practices and
intervals, as well as detecting potential problems.
  4. Troubleshooting at both the system and device levels.
Discussion of the potential causes of failure, troubleshooting
methodology, and proper use of tools and test equipment.

Operations and maintenance manuals are supplied for the training sessions. They are typically divided into sections detailing field equipment, panel devices, software and program information, and system and panel drawings. A detailed system operation description is also included.

Supplementary training is available to reinforce initial training or to provide more detailed instruction in specific areas.
